But, no other possibilities were coming to me. There was some light, but it didn’t break past that gloom. Too tired, my vision still swimming through the murky waters of fatigue. I looked around, squinting, trying to peer through an oppressive dark. I was very aware that my feet were above my head. Couldn’t move, and couldn’t feel much outside of a tight knot in the pit of my stomach. Pressed together, crossed, squeezing against my chest in a big ‘X.’ I was able to wiggle a finger, but not by a lot, and it wasn’t like I could reach or grasp anything.īoth hands. Struggling against another something, couldn’t figure out what. It was stuck, tangled in something, and I couldn’t even wiggle a toe. I moved a leg, and discovered that I couldn’t. Then, there was the gradual realization that I was upside down.
